What are Kabbalistic Meditations? There are many different types of meditation that lead to different mind states. Kabbalistic meditation follows three basic methods: a) pure silence and emptying the mind so as to be receptive to God Consciousness, b) the use of mental excercises, sounds, repetitive chanting, niggunim (melodies without words), to use these tools to concentrate the mind and alter one’s consciousness, and c) to use imagination for empowerment and connection with other realms of reality. Many of these meditations are included in the CD set published by Sounds True called KABBALAH MEDITATION, which is linked to this website.

2a Opening one's heart with careful living and respectfulness is the second level of the twelve pathways. This practice directs the participant to explore the motives and associations one has in his/her engagement with life. Is one bringing care and respectfulness to one’s actions and one’s beliefs, or do we bring different degrees of resistance, criticism, judgment, frustration much of the time to the processes that make up our daily and weekly lives?

2d Avoiding gossip is the fourth and final level of the second step to move in the direction of cultivating one’s consciousness along the lines of Right Speech. Not many people pay attention to the impact of speech and its potential to harm others and oneself. Simply learning to use our speech mindfully is alone sufficient to raise one’s consciousness to the highest levels.
